Creative Union was opened in 2009 by Susan Travis. 

In 2018, the business was purchased by her employee, Sherie Wiley. 

Sherie grew up in Port Townsend, a local girl through and through. Her love of quilting developed from learning to sew clothes with her Grandmother. Our store has recently undergone some exciting renovations, including a purple bathroom.

  The Olympic Peninsula of Washington State is a place many artists call home. Among the musicians, sculptors, painters and woodworkers are those who are passionate about creating beauty via fabric and design. Creative Union Fabrics endeavors to provide these artists with all they might require—quality quilting fabrics, notions and other accoutrements.

Come join us for a variety of events, including classes, open-sew times, and evening events, like Sip N Sew.

Creative Union Fabrics is located in Kala Square, about six miles outside of historic Port Townsend. We are tucked in the back of the Square, behind the San Juan Taqueria and Lexar Homes. We are here to serve the nearby and faraway artisan sewing communities with a friendly shopping environment and the best of quilt fabrics and supplies.
